Emma Kilkelly Speech and Language Therapy is committed to protecting your personal information and handling it in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Personal information submitted through this website, including contact forms or booking systems, is used solely for the purpose of responding to enquiries, arranging appointments and providing speech and language therapy services.
Client information may include names, contact details and information relevant to the provision of speech and language therapy services.
Client records may be stored securely using professional practice management software, including WriteUpp, which is used to manage appointments, clinical notes and client records. These systems are designed to comply with GDPR data protection standards.
Access to personal information is restricted and handled confidentially. Your information will not be shared with third parties unless required by law, where consent has been provided or where there is a concern regarding the safety or wellbeing of a child.
Personal information and clinical records are retained only for as long as necessary to provide speech and language therapy services and to comply with professional and legal obligations. Clinical records may be retained for a minimum of 8 years after the last contact, or longer in the case of children where records may be retained until the child reaches adulthood plus the relevant retention period.
When personal information is no longer required, it will be securely deleted or destroyed in accordance with GDPR data protection principles. Electronic records will be permanently deleted from secure systems and any paper records will be confidentially destroyed.
You have the right to access your personal data and request corrections where necessary.
Payment processing for online bookings may be handled securely through third-party payment providers (Stripe).

Cancellation Policy
A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Cancellations within 48 hours will result in loss of the deposit.
If you need to reschedule, please get in touch as early as possible and I will do my best to accommodate with an alternative appointment.
Missed appointments or non-attendance will be charged at the full session fee.
Payment Policy
A deposit is required to secure all assessment appointments. Once the deposit has been received, your appointment will be confirmed.
Payment can be made by bank transfer or online card payment (stripe).
The remaining balance can be paid before or on the day of appointments.
Advice and guidance sessions are payable in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule I will do my best to accommodate same.
Where refunds are issued, Stripe processing fees may be deducted from the refunded amount, as these fees are not returned to the practice.
Receipts are available for health insurance or revenue claims.
All appointments are subject to the practice cancellation policy.
Terms & Conditions
Speech and language therapy services are provided based on professional clinical judgement and evidence-based practice. Recommendations and therapy plans are made following individual consultation or assessment.
Progress in speech and language therapy can vary depending on the nature of the communication difficulty, attendance at appointments and implementation of strategies outside of sessions. While therapy aims to support communication development and improvment, specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
Email communication is intended for scheduling or brief queries. Detailed clinical advice will be provided during scheduled consultations or therapy sessions.
If a client arrives late for an appointment, the session may need to be shortened in order to avoid delaying subsequent appointments. The full session fee will still be retained. If you arrive significantly late it may not be possible to proceed with the appointment and the session may be considered a missed appointment.
